Between, the excitement of Christmas, the transition into a new year, the blessing of a new baby, the business of working with short term teams and the emotions of Holy Week, we have been busy! We have seen so much blessing the last few months and we want to share with you all the ways God is at work in this place.

We welcomed Lucas Fisher Leon into this world. He was born February 24 and is such a perfect addition to our family. We are enjoying him so much!
We are also thrilled to report that this year we have focused on growing our small group ministry and we have already tripled the the number of people involved in small groups.
During Holy Week, we were blessed to work with three short term teams from Young Life Costa Rica and Christ’s Church. They not only blessed our church but our community as well installing trash cans, putting on great kids activities, doing some demolition on an old building at the school and building much needed bookshelves for Uno+.
To celebrate Holy Week we had movie nights in two locations and had our first sunrise service.
In May Dennis will be attending a conference in Colombia with other leaders from Latin America to learn more about church planting. He will also be traveling to Australia to attend Christian Surfers International Conference where he will be strategizing with other leaders on how to plant churches where there are none, especially in coastal communities.
We are so excited about what these two events as we begin to define and strategize for the new Shoreline Mission District. God is doing huge things, things that are so much bigger than us or than what we are capable of. We are just grateful that HE is taking us along for the ride. The new “Shoreline Mission District” is a strategic initiative, whose purpose is to see a network of churches planted that are not contained by boarders, languages or culture.
