We want to see everyone have access to a living church….by building authentic relationships, being and making disciples of Jesus, being a blessing in the community, and depending on the Holy Spirit.

Last month we celebrated what God has done this year in Costa Rica and around the world at our Annual Conference.  We joined the other Free Methodist churches in Costa Rica. We were extra blessed by the presence of the Bishops and Area Directors for three days of teaching, preaching, prayer, worship, and celebration, culminating in Dennis’ ordination.

In a nutshell, we celebrated the way God is moving, in surprisingly similar ways, around the world as His followers reach into the brokenness with hope and comfort that only comes from Him.

Locally we celebrate 5 established churches with 12 “Houses of Peace”

184 students and their families enrolled in the UNO+ program receiving the “Roots” bible curriculum.

22 students in the Leadership/Pastoral formation Classes

Baptisms

230 disciples making disciples “as they go“ to their communities, workplaces, sports teams, parks, beaches, schools, etc.

This is radical transformation and unstoppable multiplication that we are seeing.  God is working here, His kingdom is spreading and you and I are a part of it.

Our annual Live Nativity was a huge success this year.  We worked with the local Ladies Committee to include a parade with floats sponsored by local businesses, marching bands, guests of honor and multiple food vendors. The UNO+ Esterillos kids and Pura Vida Church Esterillos’ youth group the Way dressed as the characters of the Nativity as Dennis reminded the crowd of the reason of the season.

We continue to lean into God and He continues to provide in miraculous ways. We were able to finish this year fully funded because of your faithfulness in supporting this ministry.  But we would like you to prayerfully consider increasing your monthly giving to cover adjustments to our budget for 2023 (like US health care as Elias transitions to college in the US).

Thank you for giving generously and praying continuously so that more people can come to know the hope we have in Jesus.

Prayer requests:

Elias’ college application process

Kyle’s parent’s health

Refurbishing the community building and other public spaces we have run into some political opposition to these projects and we pray that they can be completed soon.

Wanted to share this short video that highlights the work that is done all over the Latin America Area.  This movement is so much bigger than just Costa Rica and we are so glad that we are part of a team that seeks to see Latin America transformed.
